Quilting your Legacy Monthly Challenge for August is Autumn Projects!
🍁Yes, feature-rich colors of autumns in Vermont. Oranges, browns, reds, burgundy, deep purples, forest greens, and beyond.
You choose the projects. 🥰 It could include motifs in quilts, wall hangings, and table toppers ideal for the fall season. Autumn Projects also include Halloween-themed quilts, table toppers, Halloween Candy bags, and so much more!
📣 We have a few months before the leaves begin to change colors but let's be ready and celebrate fall in the true fall colors. Autumn colors include; orange, red, purple, brown, and beyond.
🧵Here are my projects ideas:
• Halloween Trick or Treating Candy Bag
• Quilt top using only black and white fabrics (I made a quilt last year using only black and white fabrics using the pattern from Running Doe Quilts, "Waverly" - I'm sure I'll have photos soon. We don't have the materials, but we do have the patterns)
• Wall hanging with Halloween panels
• Table topper with Autumn colors or placemats
🧐 What could you make for one of your favorite people to enjoy on Thanksgiving Day?
🙋♀️ Stitching someone a homemade present represents dedication. It also means love because you're taking time out of your busy day to spend time on a project for them.
Quilting your Legacy means you're leaving a lasting sewn project with someone you love and care about. ❤️
When reflecting on Thanksgiving, what could you gift as a hostess gift in autumn colors? Or, if Thanksgiving is held at your house, what table runner pattern could you use to highlight your tablescape?
Let's see the progress! Start (get crazy and post the middle and end of the project)
🚨The fine print:
Autumn Projects in August - Quilting your Legacy Monthly Challenge
You must show your progress. Start with taking a photo of the fabric/ pattern with what you're going to create.
1/2 points if you've started a project and are inspired or re-motivated to finish. But again, we must see where you're at this moment, then at the end of the month the second photo of your finished project.
🚨What to do next:
Day 1-10 Declare of the Facebook Group, "I'm In" if you're going to participate month's challenge.
Day 2-30 Take a photo or write text with your tentative idea (or ideas) of what you're going to create.
Day 31 (or sooner) - Show off what you created within the guidelines by posting a photo.
The process is everything. So let's see and be a part of your quilting adventure!
Happy Quilting your Legacy!
🚨 What do to next:
⒈ Go to Facebook and state, "I'm in!". Perhaps add a photo of the pattern, fabrics are chosen or just text is fine too.
⒉ Set your intentions now.
⒊ What will you create for one or more of your favorite people?
❤️ Let's encourage and support each other on our monthly sewing challenge. Let's gooooooo!
Cheers to you, Legacy Quilter! It's time we sew 🥰

I’m in, I hope I can actually finish something this month. Didn’t come anywhere near close to finishing my Christmas quilt! However, my machine was not idle. Needed to get some items made for community service project in our guild.
